There was a thread a little while back about the fund raiser for the engraved sluice. I think Reed posted a few pictures on it I don't remember how they turned out. I had a chance to see it again and took some pictures just in case. I couldn't find the thread so sorry if this comes across as a dup

THANKS Reed for doing that (and Mike H too)! That was shot today in the New 49er's Office for all to see. Ask Montine in the office and you can take as many photos as you want (she'll move it to a better location for picture than from where it is on display). I think Dave paid for it out of Pocket to the Fund so no one person could hoard. I can get the exact detail if you want.

We gave it to Dave to auction, but that was the last I saw of it until today. I figured he still had it... Lol.

I saw that sluice before it was done with all the other engraveings. A man from Chicago Ill. did this and he hangs (or used to hang) with Chuck Lassiter in Indiana. I know his name BUT im inbetween my 1st cup and 2nd cup of coffee and cant recall his name but I will if needed. I also dredged with him and someother guys at Douglas Creek Wyoming. some years back.

Ahhh The infamous "Morning Fog" that most of us know so well.

It's a beautiful sluice for sure but I for one am not interested in a wall hanger of that size. Now something like a steel or copper pan that was engraved I'd hang up in a New York second.

The mans name that made that sluice is: William (Bill) Wyatt and hes from Chicago. I haven't heard from him in several years .

Buckabilly Sluice made by Bill Webb Jr.

No thissluice isn't the "Buckabilly " sluice. I had one of his sluices and this wasn't one of them.I bought mine B-a-B sluice from him and his wife at a outing. and they were real nice people! I donated mine to a fund raiser.
