Even though it was very cloudy and cool as my buddies say "The sun shined on me this time". I went to a well hunted home site with a friend and the Deus sniffed out some overlooked stuff among the trash. My first find was the 1899 S half dollar. I almost passed it up because it rang up as a 96 on my detector and that is in the iron range. But, the crisp signal made me decide to dig it and I am glad I did. If I hadn't I would have moved out of the area and not recovered the second target, an 1856 O half dime. They were my best finds of the day. I also found a sterling silver belt tip made by Keyston Bros. San Francisco and could use a little help on dating it. I am thinking 1900-1950 but would like to narrow it down. The other three coins are a 63 memorial, 41 wheat and 61 nickel.

Sweet Finds, Congrats!!!

It’s true that the sun don’t shine on same dogs tail everyday. But, I’m glad to see that today was yours! I actually thought that site was hunted out. Good job on proving me wrong. BTW, I think that your one half dime ahead of me now with that one that you found today.

Outstanding! I wish I could detect like that :occasion14:

Some beautiful recoveries there.

I thought it was pretty well gone over myself. But, you and Kevin still have the best site to hunt! If you had rechecked one of your holes you would be one ahead of me!:laughing7:

True. But! That was a dime best I recall. Not a half dime. Either way, it was a lesson learned.

Great finds for the day. Congrats.

Nice work! 🙌 Gorgeous Seated!!!

Wow! that's some fine silver finds, just another example of "Never hunted out":notworthy:

I think your belt tip is closer to mid century than early 1900's - based on the font on the reverse , and overall design style . Nice finds !

That’s a great day of hunting. You brought home some excellent saves. Congrats

Excellent day ! Those are a couple of nice coins.
