Thebes site and the Tippecanoe River Flood of 2009

This year the water level was the third highest ever
recorded. At the end of the week we hit the thebes
spot and did pretty good. The water has yet to leave
the site...Come on Dovetail!!!

Here are some new finds from a few days ago. The
first pic shows a bird point found under a broken
blank/scraper. They are still coming and we've yet
to go back since the rains we had. Also, the last pic
shows the complete ones and two newly pieced
together. The one looks like a beveled cobbs triangular.
Too bad about the damaged biface in the lower right.

Man, you guys are covered up in points! The way you're picking them up, I'm expecting something truly amazing(as if that many great points isn't already amazing) out of you fellas anytime from that field. It's raining like crazy here now, I've got a morning class , then I'm heading out the rest of the day...........

Thanks again... Pretty soon I will be posting a new video
of the best Thebes to date from this site. It was found in
the water by our friend from Ohio and I'm glad he found it!

It wasn't the biggest Thebes from this
site, but has the least amount of damage
and over all is quite nice! Other photos
are my finds. After we left we went to the
broken parts box and were able to piece
together three! The two large blades were
glued together.
