I've been dodging thunder bumpers, sheets of rain and steady downpours for the past 2 weeks just trying to work one back yard. The weather limited the hunting time to a sporadic hour here and there. But, Saturday was nice and I had a chance to get the Compadre out and finish off the big signals. The yard has given up some interesting relics from the '20s which matches the date of construction of the house. Most of the relics have been given to the homeowners. They found it fascinating to look the items up on the interweb during a family picnic (held in the same yard) last weekend. Here's Saturday's keepers...........

After finishing off that yard, I went to a local school and continued hunting a steep hill I've been working all summer..........

Today, I broke out the Vaquero and went after the deeper signals in the same area I found the sewing machine company medallion (in business from 1854 to 1905, then purchased by Singer), the '34 Washington and the '26 D Merc..........

A '20 Walker and '29 SLQ!! Now that was one heck of a way to finish off the month. Definitely goin' back to redo that parcel with the Vaquero!!
Thanks for lookin' in and good luck to you on all your detecting ventures!!
