Nice nice, I wonder who is going to be the first to get a full box of 2013 halves? hah

I don't know. But this is the first 2013 I've seen aside from the ASE that I bought on Saturday

Nice, I got a first strike 2013 ASE this past month as a gift...

Strike #9xxx something, came in a sealed case with certification etc...

Mine is not nearly as cool. :-) however it is the first one I've ever bought. I'm going to try by the end of the year to get one from 2010,11&12

what is that? a half?

State park quarter

bullion or clad?

Its clad. But it's the first 2013 coin I've seen in circulation.

Good lookin coin, hope you snatched it considering they will likely make less to compensate for the over-production of the 2012p series of coins.

I like those america the beautiful coins. Not as cool as Canadian ones but better than normal quarters. Sweet find!

Sincerely, Garoulady

If you like the design and are bullish on silver, then you should look into the ATB 5 ounce coins. There are bullion versions and collector versions. The collector version carries a larger premium over spot, but they have downright tiny mintages. Some are authorized for 25,000, but only end up with a mintage far less than the authorized ceiling. The designs look better on a larger coin and it is 5 ounces of .999 fine silver.

People will clamor to buy ASE with a $3-$5 over spot premium that is minted in the multiples of millions, but hesitate to add 5 ounces of the good stuff at the same premium (bullion version) with much smaller mintages.

First post I've seen of a 2013 find. Good job. It's pretty early for one too. Last year was middle of March before anyone started posting about finds like that. On other posts on this thread, some thoughts: when will someone find a solid 2013 half box? Probably never, since they are NIFC. YOu'll see them in boxes, but probbly not in solid boxes. I haven't heard of any solid boxes for 2010, 2011 or 2012 either. Next. Will they make a small amount of 2013 coins? Nope. The mint stats show even in January that a large amount were minted, so I don't think so. But the 2012 quarters were the lowest amounts by FAR for ATB quarters, and also way way WAY below the lowest state quarter. With nickels and dimes it was 2009 that was the lowest mintage. Still hard to find 2009 nickels and dimes in rolls. I collect what I see, unless they are in rough shape. In fact, the 2009 nickels and dimes are the ONLY coins I take fromt eh wild on an ongoing basis when I see them. Have have done it before, and maybe never will do it aain, but all 2009 nickels and dimes in okay or better shape I scoop up when I see them. In quarrters I have put aside numerous rolls of each 2012 issue, but then stopped at that. I won't be saving 2013 issues though of any of these, as the numbers wil be bigger. I'll save 2 of each mint mark for each design for my books, like you did. Which leads me back to the OP. Good job on the first 2013 find of the year. :icon_thumright:

Don't think that will happen. They are NIFC, so someone would have to buy them from the mint then dump them into circulation. That would be interesting, though.
