I went to the bank today and asked if they had any halves. The teller told me that she had two. When she pulled them out I noticed that one was really shiny and I told her I would take both of them. It was a 2009 s proof. After looking at it when I got home it looks like it might have a die crack across Kennedys neck. Hope I'm right. Can't wait to try again.

No crack, that's just part of the design.

Also, don't cherry pick. Always take them all!

Thanks for the advice from everyone. Hope to have more luck in the future and will make sure to post all of my findings. Good luck to everyone hunting

Welcome to T -Net.
Is it a clad S Proof or a Silver S proof?

Just keep trying, I have asked for halves at banks around here about 20+ times & they always say they don't have any.
I have better luck finding them at QT, (gas station) & Walgreen's.

It is a clad but still made me smile. And today I found aforeign coin in the coinstar today at Walmart. Not sure what it is yet but still hunting.

Nice find.
I got my first Cayman Island quarter from the CoinStar just yesterday. It's not worth anything but it still makes the collection grow so I'll take it.

Thanks. And it is a cayman island penny. But like you said still makes the collection grow.
