Hi, so today is my third day at the quartz honey hole, I know dubbed. I also went to another point to search as I had to wait on the tides. I found a vwry nice full big quartz point today as well as again hundreda of shards and one small point. Many half points. In the other location I found a Bottle that says" Fedral Law Forbids sale or re-use of this bottle" full peice. And a clay old pipe peice. One again a great day after work.

Nice finds , reminds me of the first field I ever hunted as a kid .... quartz , quartz and more quartz ... nice pipe too ,you Have a metal detector ? May be worth swinging

Arrow 86. No I do not have a legit metal detector. Can you please reccommend on at a cap of 400 bucks? Thx.

Yes not only quartz. There is also a veey nice stone area nearby. Ill upload pics as I fo. I would really appreciate a detector recommendation, one with a waterproof ring or whatever it is. Seeious man I really appreciate your input.

Sorry for typos and grammer. I have been posting on a tiny smartphone. Laptopn upgrade come tax rerurns..

Arrow86,

I am relatively new to this hobby, or passion as I now prefer. Can you tell me how you got into this. Im sure you have posted this in the past, but still curious?

I absolutely would help but I also am clueless when it comes to metal detectors ... iv always just been all about finding points but one of the spots I hunt for points was home to the first court house in Cecil County, MD in 1690 so it would be a great spot to detect ... iv found a French gun flint and a civil war button while hunting points on the beach but I don’t have the $ free rite now to buy a good detector and would also be lost on which one to purchase. The metal detecting forum on Tnet is full of very knowledgeable people I’m sure somebody could offer some advice. If you do get one be sure to keep us updated.

Not that intrested in detecting as of right now. If i happen upon something metal that is unique, well then ill look into it. Thx

That pipe is in very good shape. Never seen one glazed before.

Wow, nice finds. I love that bottle, its great. The quartz points would make a great pendant with leather cordage.

I really like that pipe! Nice find.

Your pipe was made in Mogadore Ohio between 1883 -1896. I lived there in the late 1960s/early 1970s and dug thousands of "reject" pipes in the dumps there. Search "Akron Clay Pipe Company" to get more info. NICE PIPE!
