Had a short session on the site this aft. Found a roman brooch, a bronze cooking pot leg fragment, also maybe a completely worn heart shaped 17Th century trade token. Unusually had a common type medieval strap end with leather still in it. Kept my hammered run going with a cut quarter Henry 111 1216-72.

Yes Shaun cut quarters are small, and with any detector you will only find them at shallow depths.

Not knowing so I will ask? is the quarter gold or what. I am new to the hobby so I am trying to learn as much as I can. The chance of finding something like that here are 0. However I noticed where you are from and I do have two yorkies, so I'll count them as from your area.
