This find has me seeing things

Some people look at things differently than others.I found this piece in the woods
today at the base of a huge tree at 4 1/2 in.? Just wondering what you all think
about it and if you see what I see.Its 2 1/2 x 1 1/2. Happy Hunts

Dirtfishin---I love anything that has to do with pirates.
Bavaria Mike---I noticed the inconsistancies too.One half definately doesnt match the other.
It looks like brass and it isnt magnetic.There is a dark coating of some kind on it.I never knew
they carved and hand poured things back when.Interesting.
