This hobby's gonna be my death yet.

Can you imagine how I felt when I knelt down to find my target, which I knew had to be just about on the surface, and after moving a few blades of grass I got a glimpse of this?

I almost had to quit and go home to change my pants. :)

Here's the rest of the finds except the clad.

When I dug down and found this one, I almost had to leave again. :)

Sorry, about the poor pics. That's 2 separate tokens.

The one says Crocodile Alley - South Mountain Corporation.

The other says Party On Pizza on one side and the reverse has an eagle like the ones on military buttons and No Cash Value on the other.

Thanks for the response.

I find those Chinese coins frequently at the old gold mines and mining camps in Northwest Montana. Chinese miners carried three of them for good lick and they apparently lost a lot of them as they are pretty common near the mining camps. Nice finds!

I have a chinese coin much like yours, It dates from 1790, my oldest coin and was from a railroad camp in west TX. I cant remember what site I did the ID on but it was a google search of chinese coins . Then just match the coin to yours and it will give you the history. Nice fing. :laughing7:

Wait, Im confused... Did you think that 1st dollar coin was gold?

Yep, I did. I had just moved a few leaves of grass aside and caught a glimpse of the gold color in the sun. I didn't expect to see gold laying on top the ground. :)

Before I moved any more grass I had to catch my breath again. :)
