Pretty cool find. Just appears that someone at some point was trying to make a little figurine.
What is the metal type? Lead/pewter etc?
Yes, it was found metal detecting. It was found in an area off to the side of a park. Not deep at all 4" maybe. Other finds in the area have been wheats, a master lock key from the 30's, and your typical park garbage. Was this found while metal detecting? If so, was it deep? What other kinds of finds were nearby? Was the site an early one? A little history will help solve the mystery...(hey, that rhymes...) Sub![]()
