And so it begins!!! Good luck!

It's not just a penny, but a copper penny!!

The "Firsts" will come fast and furious- I have spreadsheets documenting 30 years of them! Congrats and best of luck going forward in this great and rewarding hobby of ours!

It'll be the first of many....good luck.

Thanks Jeff. My family is from the Cape located in the Falmouth area. It would be great to detect up in that area.

A big congrats on your first coin - it's an important milestone !
Hold on to your hat - now the fun really begins ... your oldest coin yet - your first 1800's dated coin - your first Silver coin, etc.

Good Hunting !

Those pure coppers always sound so sweet, remember that silvers sound similar... only sweeter! :laughing7:

Best of luck to you,
Dave

Git some !! Congrats !!

Wait til you hit your first silver coin...then the obsession really takes hold... Congrats to you.

The fun is only starting!

They travel in packs, where there's one there's more...go get 'em!

Welcome aboard, and nicely done!

Put it somewhere that you can easily look at it...THAT will give you a reminder of first joys for years to come.

I have a 191? Mercury Dime that my then 6 year old daughter insisted I dig when we were at an old abandoned church. I can't tell you how much joy that brings me when I see it, and then see my now 14 year old.

You are at a wonderful beginning, and I wish you well.
