The farm fields are now off limits till fall and possibly next spring if the hunters get in the way:(. So I headed to some sites from the last two summers. Got a 57 GW(not pictured) and the hammered silver dime at an old ball field. Found a rosie at an old church in a short hunt Sunday night.

Tonight I hit the silver Pomander site for only thesecond time this year. Some early buttons, my first old nickel this year:dontknow: and Blanch lost her ring. The interesting item is some sort of vessel(pitcher?) with a floral design on it. Well whats left of it. It appears to made out of a tombac like material. I dont think it is silver as it rings in very low and Im guessing colonial based on the design, material and the depth it was found at

I like that little pitcher. Looks like its made of pewter and from a set of toy dishes. Here's a couple of similar items I found years ago.

Nice stuff Toasted! I agree with Bill D., looks like a cute, little gravy boat! Lol...congrats on the silvers and other goods...Ddf

Congrats on some nice finds.

Well done Toasted!

Is that a dogwood blossom on the toy pitcher? If so, that's the NC state flower, and that item needs to be returned to NC.

Best of luck to you!

Nah, throw it back. It's too small!

:coffee2:
