1965 ! Finally got me a first quarter!

Made it to the local old abandon swimming pool at lunch time.
Got me a 1965 quarter, first year of the clad model!
Ended up with a quarter, 2 clad dimes, 7 copper pennies and 11 clad pennies.
Plus an Alddens Castle token. Second time digging there, both times I dig more coins and trash.
Oldest is 1959 up to 2001. About the time it opened and closed. Another local land mark lost.

Looks like a park hunt with all the clad and pulltabs you got there. You seem to know your machine. Try researching your area as you are an east coaster with much old history for America. If you can find some new permissions to hunt private land you will increase your chances at some way cool old finds. Enjoy the ride my friend.

Cool finds Jcc..I wish I could get so excited over a 65 GW quarter! Lol...just kidding tho...that's kind of a personal joke with me as I was on my quest for my first silver quarter, and had dug at LEAST 30 1965 quarters before hitting my first...turns out, I guess there were like a gazillion 65's minted...but Jcc, if you're finding 65's, you are close, just keep digging! Congrats on some good finds...Ddf

Any park/pool that saw traffic in 1959 has the potential for silver coins.
