by the way it is jumbled, I think they just did that to get more Hits via "Keywords" not necessarily to Fool.

they should have add whites, fisher, garrett too though.

it does say it is a Pyle PHMD1 Metal Detector below in the description.
and the buy it price shows you get what you pay for US $72.00

Yuck! This really does suck! $72 with FREE shipping......

Yeah, it's in the description, but for someone like s grandmother buying this as a present and has no idea what she's looking at could easily be taken.

W/O
looking at the AD again .
Is Pyle the brand or is Minelab.

Exactly, title is written with the intent to deceive.

well having an actual brain in my head :tongue3: once I clicked on I knew it was
equal to a Toy . or at the very best an introductory model to metal detecting.
I know there are some fools out there,
But if they are familiar with the Minelab Excalibur 1000 in the first place
& they saw that, they should know better.

of course like dieselram94 may be suggesting if a grandmother asked what do you want for christmas
and you said Minelab Excalibur 1000, you may open the package and see this rather large pinpointer, from a grandmother who thought she got off cheap this year :laughing7:

Exactly Jeff, it'll be interesting to see what if any action eBay takes against this seller. I see this seller has done much more buying than selling and really hasn't done much of anything on eBay...

Damn...they don't ship to Hawaii or Alaska.:dontknow:
Now that pisses me off. We always miss out on the good stuff.:laughing7:

Hey DR- remember, it's better to be pissed off, than pissed on.

(or buried in snow again)

kinda the same thing for you, eh?

UH?
Most likely add was already changed, as I could not find anything fraudulent.

When it comes to advertising, it best to consider that everyone lies including the manufacturer
in the hope that you will buy their product (caveat empator - buyer beware).
If they don't lie, you can be sure that they will not reveal information that would keep one from buying their product.

Still a lot of humor left in the add, I was able to pull up:
Like why would anyone want to find coins in gold?
The last time I looked Hawaii was in the United States so the shipping should be free?
Also, I was not aware of a condition: New!

Oh well, they got the pictures right!

What a deal: For only $29.99 more, you can get a 3 year warranty from square trade - the standard warranty is two year
and that their asking price is higher than current market.

What a deal (NOT)!

To be honest i don't know whey anyone would want to find gold in coins.

to entice you to buy their product or at
best omits critical information that is needed.

Found this on eBay...clearly meant to fraud gullible people. I'm looking to see how to report this to eBay right now...
Look at this on eBay:

1000 Detector Metal Minelab Excalibur Treasure Hunter Sensitivity find gold

Edit* just reported it...

eh? All I see is an Ace 150

Whats the problem?

Yep, the link took me to the Ace150 for $192 now.

That's NOT the ad the link took me to 2 days ago.

I wouldn't trust this seller at all. I wonder how long he'll be around?

I sent a pm to seller advising them it was NOT an Excalibur 1000 and was either a counterfeit or they were using false advertising to mislead buyers then I sent message to EBay advising them the same thing....

Thanks!

I contacted Minelab about the same thing and they responded with their appreciation and thanked me for my support.
Excals that were only a few hundred dollars! No way!

I have run across this on EBay for a Tiger Shark, used Tesoro name and Tiger Shark logo in ad but picture sure wasn't a real Tiger Shark, nor was the price. I contacted the seller and asked how she got away with a false ad. She just said "Oops, typos on my part" and immediately changed the ad. I think they do this a lot, post an ad to lure people who don't know what they are buying, and hope to sell to them before they have to yank or correct the ad.
