LOL @ all the silly answers. It's a lawnmower engine. No offense of course. It's human nature to think you've found something amazing. When I was 8 or 10 I brought home a big bag of "dinosaur bones" I had dug up. I was pretty upset with my mom that she wouldn't take them to a museum to find out what they might be worth. Many years later she reminded me that I had found them at an abandoned pig farm..

Agree it's a mower or small tractor engine. Looks a bit like one of the K series kohler engines from the 60s or 70s.
