I dug this today at a 1930's house that is still in use. It was down about 6", so it's been there a long time. About 2" diameter, made of zinc or diecast. The "pointer" on it sticks through the item, you can push it with your finger on the back side, and it has some "spring" to it. Just wondering what it is, I know it has no value.

I believe it from an old phonograph.
