For a few minutes I thought I had found my most awesome shard ever! Imagine my dismay when it turns out to be a piece of tree bark ??? but shortly after I did find a real pottery shard so kinda made up for it.

First one looks like some type of broke turtle shell or skull fragment from cow or something. Nice shard.

I think it is turtle shell or fragment of skull from cow /deer. Don't know why it would smell like wood though.

I once spotted a really cool orange clay trade pipe laying just under the shallow water in the Flint River just south of Albany Georgia. When I saw it, my heart raced and I quickly pulled it from the gravel bar and was very happy to have something new to add to my collection. After I pulled it from the water, I sadly discovered it was an orange rubber cover to a lawn mower spark plug. So goes the world.

Too funny GaRebel! After it rains and I'm looking down in the creek from the top of the bank, usually 8 to 10 ft or more down, I would swear I see points and shards and then get down there for nothing but a rock lol

Looks like coconut shell
