Hi Found this today too. I thought it was a washer until I cleaned it. Some type of token I think.

Solingen is a town in Germany - I can't tell whether these may have been made there with the company headquarters in Berlin or what.

Solingen, is also one of the finest quality steel in the world. Solingen steel knives are highly sought after. Could be that this is made of steel from Solingen. If not, at least you learned a little something about Solingen steel. ;-)
