Thoughts on these knives?

Saw these knives today, thought they were interesting. Apparently they are ivory handles from the 1860s? they wanted $10 a piece which sounded way too high, any idea?

I dont think they are ivory though.
 

I say they are not Ivory as well ... maybe a form of Bakilite ... Ivory has patina yellowing when it that old ... be glad you held back on these . IMHO , Woodstock

I think these are also not Ivory. Ivory polishes very, very smooth. Bone looks smooth but as you look at it closely is porous. Ivory also will have true grain in it. This looks to be synthetic of some kind. I do think these are older than 1950's, much older.
 

Way overpriced. No real value there.
 

The handles are more than likely celluloid. They probably date to around 1890 to 1910. It's an obscure maker that didn't seem to produce much but I did find him (Reuben Wenborn, Cutler) listed at 30 1/2 (upstairs) Cornmarket on Oxford around 1890. 30 Cornmarket

I agree with JimDon, way overpriced.
