Thoughts on this appreciated

Found this in the spring in a tilled field in central Indiana. I have been back and forth on whether this has been worked or what it may be.....Thoughts?

Looks like a piece of jasper and from your pics, I don't see any indication that human hands shaped it.

I'd fish it back out. Small core, IMHO.

It looks natural to me.

Not to start something stupid, but what makes it look un-naturally formed to me is that it's like a crystal in having straight, flat face segments, but those segments don't align with the hexagonal habit of crystalized quartz. But not a pseudomorph due to the rest of it (1st picture). Minerology's over my head.

Interesting, at least.
