Jeff, very good chance that it was. Looks like it may be private property now. If you can get permission to hunt it, the land owners may also give you the ok for the surrounding property as well.

Good luck and keep us posted!!

at this point we are thinking
It may have been the ball field
for the 2 1800's era Schools & when they built
the 1917 school , sold the land off
& Built the football field Above it.

since the tax records date the home to 1900 but
could be Circa 1900.
I'm also thinking the land may have actually been sold Before
the home was built & the ballfield
became defunct when the football
field was Complete.

See the Rectangle area to the Left of
the Ball Field with the Tree ? in the 1938 arial.

Small Park area ? OR small parking area
for Horses & Carrages Possable

at This point it's Just a Matter of
contacting the owner, Whom it won't
surprise me if I Know her, but not by her Last name.

I found out last night,
I Know her live in
Boyfriend from 70's/80's.

Looks to me like it was a ballfield at one time. What have you got to lose. Ask the owner..They could be a lot of silver waiting for your coil. Good luck.

Never Thought to check 1875 Atlas.

It appears a Home may have been there in 1875

REEDY Same name as all of the
older Owners pre 2004 in the Tax records.
