I had a great day detecting!!! I went down to a local park and found my first 10k gold ring, a small but pretty black hills gold ladies ring, thought it was gonna be another pull tab!!! Got tired of corroded clad, so i drove down to my (old) spot, and promptly found an 1867 sheild nickle! Another first for me! And just as i was about to go home, on my way to the truck, right in the hard packed road, i found a very old 14k gold ring! Two first gold rings for me in one day!!! I can scarce beleive it!!! Thanks for looking!!! :laughing9:

Nice finds! The rings are nice! I know the eagle thing in the upper right corner is a part off a hand saw but what is the thing with the mexican eagle on it. HH

Wow great finds man! And 2 more Anaconda pins? Wow you are killing it, congrats!!

have you IDed the yellow-ist gold ring, looks early to me :icon_thumright:

The top right eagle is indeed a medallion for a saw. As far as this other eagle, with a snake in its mouth, i dont know. I think it may be a button, but if it was the shank is gone. Here is a pic of the reverse. The bigger more yellow ring has no marks on it, i took it to a jeweler to make sure it was gold and it tested 14k. The place i got it was once a town that had its peak from 1880-1890, and the jeweler assured me it was old, but other than that, i dont know anything else! :tongue3: Thanks for all the great posts!

I would get a second opinion, looks more than 14, way more. (I would stake a lot of money on it)
