Thanks for looking and best luck. :hello:

Those are some great finds Merf! Is the 1853 dime an O? The holed silver is a half reale? Also, the coin dated 1863 looks like a design off an older gold coin.. Is that some kind of Civil War token? The rest of the coins and buttons are nice :headbang:

Thanks Umrgolf  The dime has no mintmark :-\
Thanks for the info on the holed silver--I have to do some more measuring and comparing.
Hope it is a half real. The 1863 says OUR ARMY on the back side. I think it is a civil war army token used to make purchases.

:icon_thumleft: If the holed silver is just slightly smaller than a dime, 99% chance that's what it is. The 1863 token is great and I believe it was designed after the Draped Bust gold coins :icon_thumleft:

btw, the dime looks AU :o

Thanks Golf-----The silver is just a little.
smaller than a dime. Thank you much for the info.
It is sure worn but My first half real.

Congrats,
Doug

Thanks Doug-----It is a button with a standing shank but no backmark.

Thanks to all for the replies and kind words.   :hello2: :hello2: :hello2: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :hello:

That's a great few weeks worth of goodies Merf. I wonder if that warbled silver is Spanish. Some great detail on most of those coins.
Chris

Nice haul. I love the badge.

A BEAUTIFUL 1853 dime you dug! And that 1852 Large Cent is stellar. Is that a spanish silver in the first photo? That CW era store card in the photo with the IH's and FE cents is a great keeper--and I think I have dug a similar button to that large giled one with the leaves on it. Benedict and Burnham as I recall, 1830s two-piece.

Some killer finds, my friend.

Well done!

Thanks Chris  That beat up silver is very thin. The size of a half real but will never know for sure.
