Thrift Store Find The Absolute Coolest Bobblehead I've Ever Seen

And for $3 it was a steal! Porcelain Geisha Girl. It sits about 6-7 inches tall. No marks anywhere that I can find. I haven't been able to find a comparable one yet. I found a few less quality ones that are similar. I think I may keep it... for a while anyway. Check it out-

I have a "Wille" bobblehead from Duck Dynasty but yours is a bit cooler. Nice.

It's not a bobble head, I believe its an incense burner.. These come up at auction quite a bit, not exactly the same but same concept & Asian in origin. Many are brass & are some porcelain, lots of Buddha's are made like this too. The hands are always positioned just like the one you have are.

Great buy for $3!

Now that IS funny! Didn't picture you for a DD fan. I don't even watch that one, redneck as I am.

No, definitely not an incense burner. Nowhere to put an incense cone and no hole anywhere for a stick. I am personally familiar with many types of incense burners, I grew up in the 70's, lol. Besides look at pic 5? Head mounted on a stick with a porcelain weighted ball on the end. Head has a pin coming out of either side that rests in a slot purposely made for it. Touch the head and watch it bobble.

...Porcelain Geisha Girl.............
It is definately not Geisha. If Japanese, she would be wearing a kimono. Like picture below.
P.S. thats my daughter.

Hair looks a little Japanese but shoes and pants look Chinese.

Hmm interesting... I think every one I've seen has holes in the hands for smoke to go thru but I don't examine all of them that close anymore. The same exact head design concept I see a lot of & after the first 10 I examined really well & figured out they were burners I then just figured they were all incense burners. Guess I should look at them better the next time I see one. I think the one you have is either the Indian Buddha or maybe Chinese/Tibet/Korean, Vietnamese or ? I don't think it's a Japanese geisha, totally wrong garment as cyberdan said. That's more the outfit of a "god" or royalty or someone of importance. Could be Japanese but definitely not a geisha.

Hmmm..... Ancient Chinese earthquake detector. If you see the head bobbling head for the hills!!!!!!!!!!

Think he means in her butt, nice way to say a$$. It is the weight that makes her head bob. Not sure weight, but maybe counter-balance is the right word. I think that is what he was alluding to, Dan.

$1000 (nice) & 3 watchers... hmm how many of those watchers are you guys? So it's German who would have thunk it! I'm going to pay more attention to these the next time I see one! I'll go back to my earlier statement "great buy for $3"!

OH, he was talking about the porcelain. I thought it was about Heather, since it was right after my post.
Thanks Tory.
