Sandman, I have both the 8 and 10 inch coil. I use the 10 inch exclusively for tha last 3-4 years. Just cant be bothered to change it. I have dug plenty of deep water targets with it. I just love it.

I just got a 10.5" coil for my Tiger, and can't wait to use it. I have done my research and found some old swimming areas to search, so I am pretty excited to try them out. HH Niffler

keep the replies coming!

Thanks for the replies guys....I hunt the salt water beaches here in so cal but mostly the sand and some of the wet sand. Thinking of ordering the Sand Shark with the 10" coil just to be able to cover more ground. Wish I could get the old ones with interchangeable coils but then might not be able to get it fixed later (no matter the life time warranty) so might as well start with the 10".

Good choice Sandtrout. You won't be sorry.

I just got the new Sand Shark this week with the hardwired 8" coil. I got the 8" after talking with Rusty Henry about beach detecting, and what would be the best "all around" coil to have on the machine. I thought about what he had to tell me, and how I will be using the machine, and got the 8". Good Luck! - Terry
