i think i found my 1st clovis point. it was a field find from eastern oh. its only 1 1/4" long and super thin, fluted on both sides. its missing about 1/8" of the tip and has a nic on the base. i always imagined my first one being a big 3 or 4 incher but i am still very excited. luv to hear your opinions. thanks.

Definetly a paleo in my opinion. Congrats. I'm no expert though. I imagine mine to be a 7 in jasper fully fluted sticking out the bank and never seeing creek tumble or plow. Hey ya gotta dream.

Very nice first clovis!!..... I told you all i foresee Clovis points for everyone!!.....................Nice find Musky.......................GTP

I agree with paleo. Congrats. I'm jealous.

very nice what of the state you in fayette co here

Small and thin - you may have found the Crowfield variety of clovis. You're in the right area.

Does not look like crowfield, Debert maybe, one thing is for sure it is clovis.....

Great find dude, I think that's exactly what you have!!! Got to be happy with that one! Congrats.

thanks, it was sticking out of the dirt base up and i could see the flute on both sides. wish i had the camera with me. thanks on the kind words and help on indentification. always learning here on t-net.

Crowfield would be a broader, point, wider relative to length, multiple flutes.

Yup what twitch said..........:laughing7::dontknow:???

Well congrats on it.
