and I never knew it till I got home.... small stud earring marked 10k and the darn little diamond chips tested good....

First target of the day was a silver ring and you know how that can go.... either a really good day or that is your best for the day....

Also got what I think was some kids home made craft ring.... weird things out there.....

All in a freshwater lake....took the GT out and was gingerly going out as deep as I could, more of the swimming area to cover since I couldn't go much over waist deep, had to leave some room for the boat waves. Thought about tieing the darn control box to my ball cap to get out deeper.... next time a different detector and my weight belt.

Good for you! I think I have found several dozen stud earrings, but not a one has been gold. Great hunting.

Gold and silver, plus a bit of ice, oh so nice!
