Found this tiny buckle on a field with a lot of history (coins dating back to the late 17th century)
Any body an idea ?

only thing that comes to my mind is watch buckle,
but I'm sure there are other things with very small straps.
like a childs shoes.

Looks to me like half of a knee buckle frame. If so it would have been the "double D" form.

Its a broken Spectacle Buckle. These have a wide date range of (top of head) - 1500-1700ish.
