Tips for White's IDX pro

Just curious if anyone has any tips for my White's IDX pro. I got into this kind of blind a few years ago and never really talked with anyone else with any experience with this particular detector. Anything would be a help. Thanks in advance.

You can go to Whites website and download the manual for it. You can also go to their forums and search the specific model and others can help. Try youtube, search IDX Pro.

Good machine, goes deep. Does not have a depth indicator, but just raise the coil as you swing a deeper target should drop out sooner. Assuming it is not large target. Read the manual and learn to pin point.

Do a search on the Mr. Bill mod for the IDX Pro. I don,t have it but it is still interesting.

As with all detecting, go slow, use as little discrimination as possible, and dig everything until your confidence grows.

My first and a much used machine. Alot of gold, silver and pull tabs found with good depth. It's a keeper for sure.

Here is the page at the White's forum for programs for you.... the XLT, and DFX are similar enough you can use either with minor exceptions.
