Treasure coin, did I get a good deal?

I think I got a real good deal here compared to some of the prices I have seen with coin auctions! First time I have seen one with a key chain attachment. Why would they do that, they didn't even have cars back then, just horses? Can anyone tell what the date is on this so I know what ship it came from?

All joking aside this really is a treasure coin. I remember handling this from my father's dresser in the early 60s when I was a young'un. Never did find out the story on it but suspect he probably picked it up at a souvenir shop maybe in the Bahamas when he was there scuba diving in the late 50s. I see a seam so assume it was cast, and it only weighs 16 grams so no clue what it's composition is. Anyone know any history on reproductions done that early? Anyway thought I would post this for entertainment. Still curious if anyone can tell what date this was supposed to resemble?

It really is a treasure coin as far as I'm concerned as I found it in my Father's effects after he passed a few years ago and know that the coin provided memories for both of us.

It's probly a sovenier of a found coin made into a watch bob from the Orient ? Just my guess !

Looks like a well worn (and/or 'shaved') 8-reales cob coin from the Mexico City mint.
If the assayer's initial is "J", it's Jose Eustaquino de Leon --the assayer for most of the Mexican silver coins salvaged from the 1715 fleet.
