First hour long hunt on a small vacant tract of land a friend owns. There used to be a house somewhere, but it's been gone for a long time.

most interesting find, a 40-82 wcf casing. Apparently only used in the Winchester 1886 rifle. Given the style of rim, i would guess it has been in the ground a fairly long time.

So, Since coming to Limon Colorado for work, I have done very little treasure hunting other than some goodwill hunting in Denver. I will post those finds here eventually as time permits.

I have found my first Silver Quarter in probably 5 years, a 1964 handed to me in change at dairy queen.

unfortunately I haven't been able to actually hunt with a detector or at the banks since june or so, works been a real bear. with luck the upcoming year will provide me more fodder for folly.
