Relic Hunting
Finally, the Tennessee Trio was able to reunite and hunt a Union Civil War camp from 1862-63. What better way to spend a beautiful 60 degree day than to hunt for history with good friends.
Doug and I met Josh at the site about 8:30 am and we hunted for 3.5 hours. Our expectation was to dig a variety of CW bullets and someone may dig an eagle button.
Well, Doug recovered the eagle button and a brass spur buckle. Josh dug the end of a U.S. Regulation cavalry spur and the end of an iron nipple protector with a few links of chain remaining. I dug a brass knapsack hook minus the button that I attempted to trade Josh for the spur end-no deal-LOL.
We dug a variety of bullets including pistol balls, .44 cal. Colts, .54 cal. Merrill carbines, Type 3 .58 cal. Williams Cleaners, and several pieces of campfire lead. I dug a short piece of rolled lead no doubt used as a pencil.
It was a fun day! HH, from Doug, Josh, & Quindy.

I was just wondering when we would see something from you guys! Nice finds and good luck this fall.

Thank goodness you guys finally got out. It's been pretty boring here lately. Now we have something to look forward to. Looks like you all 3 picked up right where you left off last season! I liked the pic of the sunset/sunrise over the barbed wire fence.
