Toasted William III half penny?

At Least that's what I think I found. Found it in some woods that have been producing some nice colonial era artifacts. Weighed in at about 8 grams, and measured 28 mm in diameter. The coin was about 5 inches deep and rang in at a "77" on my AT -Pro. An/ all thoughts about the identity of this coin are appreciated. Thanks for taking a look.

I think you're right. Might put some WD-40 on it for contrast, or even butter, then wipe it off.

Yes! iMHO any 17th Century coin on our side of the pond is a special thing. Congrats on that WIII.
