Today I found a metal ball... a musket ball maybe?

Along with several coins, 2 tootsie toy cars and a railroad spike I found this metal ball. I think it might be a musket ball but I'm not sure and I don't have the tool needed to measure the caliber. Any ideas?

Looks more like steel, does a magnet stick to it? If the magnet sticks, could be out of a ball bearing.

Could be either a military case shot or an old bearing. Context is important. Any military action around there?
