called it quits after about an hour, just too hot. took my daughters wih me (twins @ 8yrs old) they helped me secure permission at the place below ;D they love to help pinpoint and recover. they were getting hot too, so we headed to the lake. 28 wheatie and an old gold gilted button were the best of the hour, will be going back though. wish I had an underwater MD today.

Looks like a great spot. I used to take my kids with me also when I wanted to really get into a spot. Worked like a charm. Hard to refuse the kids. Then be sure to get permission for a return visit so you can really concentrate and find some goodies. Congrats on the Franklin half. Those are hard to come by. I found some walkers and Barber halves before I finally found a Franklin. Then after the 1st one found a couple more. Keep hitting those cool old homes. There is a large cent just waiting for you at one of em. I was thinking about my large cent finds the other day at work and was adding up the times I found multiple large cent from old home sites and it was 6. Six yards yielded at least 2 large cents. I have had one yard give up 4. 3 I got and 1 from another detector guy. Fun stuff. Jim

Great short hunt for sure for that brutal weather we're having

Congrats! That house is sweet

Good lookin spot PG. I love that style of home and would date that to be between 1850-1870, guessing. Gotta be worth several hunts - good luck!
