I went through 7 boxes today and have 11 more to go through. My son, CoinSurfer, won't be here until tomorrow and I want to save some of the hot boxes for him so he can experience the thrill of a huge box. (I have 3 of the hot code boxes left .)

Box 1 -- 1964d

Box 2 -- 1947pX2, 1947sX2, 1948sX2, 1949p, 1949s, 1950d, 1950sX5, 1951dx2, 1951sX9, 1952s, 1953s, 1954s, 1956p, 1956d,
1958d, 1961dX2, 1962d, 1964pX3, 1964dX9 (46 Total)

Box 3 -- 1964d

Box 4 -- 1947d, 1947s, 1948sX2, 1950sX2, 1951sX5, 1952s, 1953sX3, 1954p, 1957p, 1957d, 1963d, 1964p, 1964dX6 (26 Total)

Box 5 -- 1964d

Box 6 -- 1946sX2, 1947sX2, 1948sX2, 1950sX3, 1951sX8, 1952sX2, 1953d, 1953sX2, 1954s, 1956dX2, 1958d, 1959dX2, 1962d,
1963dX5, 1964dX7 (41 Total)

Box 7 -- 1962d

What I was most struck by was how many 1951s there were as well as the majority being S mints. I was amazed at how many of the 1950s I found given the low mintage. The other odd thing was how the rolls of multiples were all bunched up. (Silvers right next to one another - One roll had 5 in a row.) Also, the rolls were either a skunk or multiples - I do not remember one roll in the hot boxes that contained only 1 silver. I would go many rolls with nothing and then hit rolls with 4,5 and 6 in them.

117 Total Silvers

Awesome. That was me in the beginning of August. I even called banks and asked if they had the boxes with that particular date/machine stamp. Some obliged if they had them.

Nice finds!!... Amazing you found so many "s" in those boxes :D !!

Excellent Finds...
Those multiple rolls friggin rule.

Nice work.

some truly amazing finds and some great pics too. Your perseverance surely paid off

Boxes 2, 4 & 6 were truly gr8! :laughing9:

I'd love to search dime boxes if I could find some boxes like those. I guess you just have to search 'em to find 'em.

That is a great find for silver dimes.
Congratulations...Just goes to show you that it's still out there.

Those pics are the best thing I have seen online all day! I love them. You killed it with those awesome finds! :headbang:

Wow, those pictures are like CRH Porn. Nice Job lol

Those pictures popped my silver boner. Very "UPLIFTING"!

I have only had that happen once, but they were CWR. 37 silvers in only 11 rolls. One roll had 10! Been looking for it to happen again ever since...

for now, I will live through your post. Awesome Job MU!

fantastic finds! way to go! :icon_thumright:

Now I would call that some "nice" dime boxes. Wow! I love to see those type of pics with the silver that shines so bright.

Nice finds. I never have luck with those rolls, with dimes I usually go for customer wrapped.

Outstanding! I am shocked their were no Mercs or Barbers. HH

That is crazy!!! congrats on your dream score!!!

I thought I hit the jackpot when my last time box had one lone 1964... High skunk rate on dimes here(brinks dimes are junky). I told myself i would never do dimes again after a 6 box skunk streak, though it seems i can't stay away from them.

Hope those 2011's are out for the year. you got a good 4 months or so before the 2012 dimes come out :(

awesome hunting!! i love those white rims from a roll. :hello2:

what is a hot code box?

All boxes have a code from the facility they came from. Boxes with that code were "hot"
