Relic Hunting
Hello all, today was one of the best days EVER bobby, adam and myself have hit this spot for almost 6 months now and it is still producing great finds. Adam found a couple of buttons with his 1st eagle button,a few orange 3 ringers, harmonica reeds etc..... Well today me and bobby "dragon6banger" went out to the field and found an unbeliable amount of relics. I got my 1st eagle button, a flat button, underwear button, and 2 snap buttons,a nice 2 ringer,a what I believe to be a COIN RING ;D a mini ball and a bunch of lead.

Bobby got several buttons as well a couple that we need help with one is of a man on a horse with a sabor ??? a flat button,a couple of what is its, a nice green 1863 indian head penny that he can add with his 1805 half cent from the other day, a womens brass wedding band from way back when. He and I both had an awsome day and will be back again tomorrow.

So we come home and are washing are finds off under the sink, I had found a piece of lead that was mangled up and the only reason I kept it was because it was lead, well while washing off under the sink bobby said thats A PLATE and you just could see the "U" so I SLOWLY bent it back out and HOLY **** :o :o sure enough it was a US BELT plate my first, I could not belive it. We both dug mangled crap up like this all day and chuncked alot it.

Need help on the following pics please: 3 4 5 6 11 and 12

Well thanks for looking we will post tomorrows finds as well

Nice job Guy's....CW,congrat's on the plate buddy.Like Hutch said....I'd pound the hell out of that place.
we have pulled close to a total of 18 buttons out of this maybe 6 acre field, 4 rivits to ammo boxs, 6 gadner bullets, lots of pieces of harmonica reeds, 1 buckle now, 2 coins dont know that there is much left. See the problem is the landowner is an elderly lady from NJ and she bought the land in the 70's and tore down the old hospital herself. She only leases out the land the farmer that tends the land has gone to diskless farming meaning he hasnt disked or plowed the field in over 4 years :( so everything we are finding is super deep. But thanks Guys and Gals for all the replys.

fantastic work guys, keep hunting it slow and careful

nice job on the U.S. plate!!!! :) I love the buttons as well! :)
