Same deal, walked few hours before work in the field down the road from me. Got me and my buddy (dog) some exercise and was able to find some artifacts, all-in-all a great morning. Couple broken points and 2 scrapers I believe (not sure about the small one).
Have been using the app on my phone which I really dont care for, but its the best i can do since I dont get internet where I live ( Yes, some people still dont have internet these days) so I just have to clump all the pics together.

Nice finds .... That's a heck of an oak tree ... Sounds like a good morning
All my posts are from pics on phone and using tnet app.... You can write a description an then insert a pic using the App and it will separate them ... PM me if you have any questions

yes it is, can't imagine its age, but another field I walk has a similar oak, just a little bigger and both have flint scattered all around them.
Kinda figured I wasn't doing something right, I'll have to play around with it a little bit, thanks arrow86.

Nice finds, love the insitu pics. Ever swing a M.D. around that big oak?

Thank you, Yes I have actually. Some old shell casings an old barn hinge and barbed wire were all I managed to pull out.

Glad you had some success. Every find is a thrill.

Very nice. I like the idea of swinging a detector while hunting artifacts....seems good campsites are good campsites regardless of time.

Yes, and the fact that I have found a french gun flint and later discovering they had forts VERY close to me, hard to keep the detector home :laughing7:

Any find is a good day hunting and those are not bad, I have come home with a lot less.

@ Capt do you ever wonder how the scrapers make it through the plow and disc but the points always seem to get something chopped off? Nice finds there is a killer waiting on you out there and hopefully its whole.

I have found quite a few whole points in this field, but like you said rock most have some form of plow damage. Still like christmas for me no matter what type of artifact it is or its condition. I dont forsee me getting rid of this bug anytime soon :laughing7:

I sort my scrapers in tubs by colors that way when I feel like holding something worked I dont have to open a case. I can just reach in and enjoy. I have a couple of fields I have found some killers in and after each rain if the grass isnt real bad I can still find another one to make me smile.
