Went to the trusty spot on the Peninsula. The "viddles" are getting thin though. BUT, YOU aren't ALWAYS going to hit the motherlode but in my opinion, if you keep a steady flow of relics coming in, that is the key. Finds are: 1 3 ringer with rifling marks (doubled loaded in barrel), 1 musketball, 1 leather rivet, 1 brass plate (have to clean to see if any markings), 1 tack leather tack (that I thought was a button at first)...has the tack in the back, it rang up as a button on the MXT, 1 piece of 12 pounder (fuse end), 1 iron spike, and a couple other pieces of iron including one half of an broken horse shoe..... The small rectangular brass piece was DEEP, probably about 10 inches deep in the woods, under a ton of roots.
