I Found a new spot that covers about an acre or more. There were already bottles dug on the surface and large craters. All of the craters were very shallow, so I found the deepest one and dug down around five feet. It got dark so I did not find the bottom, the last thing I see was a brick, the place was loaded with them.

Happy hunting { 8

Some nice old bottles

Great set of bottles. Looks like they enjoyed the remedies.

I like the blue one, I used to have that medicine as a kid. But not in those bottles..lol

Thank you for sharing your hunt and those pictures with us .

Nice bottles, would love to find some myself.

Thanks for the pics...I love old bottles...got about 300 now...you've found you an awesome place to dig.

hmm - is this a dump with ash - or mostly dirt(?) - also - were you seeing a lot of old rusty beer cans(?)

Thank you all for the compliments, I got out for about three hours today. I got to a layer today that is mostly clay with bricks and some ash. I am thinking the bottom layer of this dump is not going to produce much but what it does it will be old. I did some research on the bottles I dug yesterday and the coke bottle even in it's worn condition is the most valuable. The 1915 coke bottle was quite close to the surface along side bottles from the 40's. I am guessing some of the bottles were sitting around for a while before being tossed in the dump site. I did find a layer that is almost all 1920's bottles so I am hoping to pull a Pepsi bottle from that time.

I will post my bottles from today some time tonight or tomorrow. I am glad so many people enjoy old glass as I do.
