I agree, but it's hard to do when she catches you meeting the delivery driver in the driveway, him handing you a big box and you walking up to the door with this sheepish look on your face as she greets you at the door shrieking "YOU BOUGHT ANOTHER DETECTOR?! Yes dear, I forgot to mention it to you, But HAPPY BIRTHDAY, don't worry, I can unbox it, put it together and take it out for a spin or three, just to make sure it's setup and working properly FOR YOU! Don't worry about thanking me, but if you insist, you are welcome.

This is usually how some of those conversations go. I've been married for 53 years, so I guess it's been working for me.

Nice looking pouch, If I ever ordered anything and UPS delivered it, I didn't have to worry about my wife. I'm a retired UPS delivery driver, and for almost 30 years, my route was in the town that I lived, so I delivered the stuff to myself, and she never knew ! I've been retired for 11 years now, so it's not so easy anymore !

Yeah, back when I was married, I didn't like seeing the wife either. Delivery people were always a welcome sight, tho.
