just like to show you my find which research tells me it is a gold ingot which is part of a ship wreck with cargo of gold bullion in the 1700s
what do you think its worth

Sure its gold? you should have it checked and weighed. Also does it have any stamp on it, older bullion which I doubt that is will still usually have some stamp on it.

Doesn't look like gold, doesn't look like an ingot. If it is not cleaned, maybe not silver. Is it relatively heavy? If not, melted aluminum. If it does seem heavy, then that is another discussion. Also, where did you find it? Could you show us the other side? This can be figured out.

Yea, I was thinking that or Lead...I find alot of Lead that looks like that....never know until its tested..

just curious, where did you find this, on the beach?...trying to figure out where your theory came from

I'm still trying to find my way around this site and I have to say a fantastic site glad I found it
Glad I met you guys and thanks for all your help and tips
its a pale yellow and hard and will not bend and has a bit of weight
lead & silver are soft and should bend pretty easily so I guess Im going to the jewellers
As for the location Diggin-N-Dumps I'l have to keep that a secret for now until I find the mother load
but will post the pics for you.
