Todays finds 1-6-07 1869 shield nickel

Finds from today 1-6-07. The 1869 shield nickel was found at 9 inchs deep at a old church site. The rest was found at a old one room school house. They are 1900 IH, five wheats 1917,1918D,1924 and two unreadable and a missouri tax mill and 1936 buffalo nickel and a button with FITZ written on it and a bottom of a football necklace. found with whites XLT.

Nice finds. Those shield nickels are very hard to come by and even harder to find in that good a shape. LOL

Nice Shield nickel! Can you give us a obverse view of nickel. I have found 4 Shield nickels and they are all really rusty! Took a SOS pad lightly to them, made em a little better. Very nice finds. Coinman66

Coinman heres the other side. These are tough to find I've found around ten in twenty years of hunting. TL
