Today's Finds From Virginia City

Beautiful day scouring the mountains for relics! Got a nice old barrel tap, a silver thimble, some clothing fasteners, some cartridges and a lead seal.
The seal has a date of 1864 on it. I'll have to clean it up more to read the rest of the writing on it.
The large cartridge measures about .56" x 1.7", not sure what it is. The other is a .32rf

I like the silver thimble. I found one early in my tectin hobby back in 1984 or 85. I have yet to find another. Thanks for postin'!

I'll admit, I had to do a little work on it to make it presentable. It was pretty smashed, had to anneal it six times to work it back into shape.
