today's finds need help id'ing old padlock

i went hunting today at the site of several old homes that have been demolished here in the oldest neighborhood in salt lake city and found a 1925 wheat cent a 12 gauge shotgun shell marked W.R.A.C no. 12 star, a old top to a piggy bank that is a cowboy hat design and my first and most intriguing find a very old was appears to be made of brass padlock that says "new champion lever" and a # 6 also stamped on it. can anyone here tell me anything about it how old it is and who makes it. will try to post some pics tomorrow my camera is on assignment elsewhere thanks

Check the bottom of the rim and see if you can see any engraving. Also look at the hasp it may have a makers mark on it. Miller lock company Philidelphia,Pa.

They are selling for $10.00 or less without a key.
