I usually don't post pictures of cores, but this is a decent one of good size, also found today.

That insitu of yellow piece reminds me of a sundial. I love when the lithic leaves a scar pattern that reminds me of a lightening strike, that is a sweet one. The little awl tool is nice. Big day if you only found busted up knife.

Do you know you agronomy? Is that wild marigold?

I don't but whatever it is; it's seems to be everywhere in S. GA. artifact 1 and #2 were found at different sites miles apart.

Your on a roll, Good to see, maybe a paleo in your future.

Would be cool, I always keep a open mind; I never tell myself I won't find this or that within reason. (unless it's something hardstone).

..Lemme tell ya a story about a 13 “piece of beautiful petrified wood with some bark on it..I
Musta been around 12 years old, I was digging in the back yard ( can’t remember why) anyhow I started finding trash, you know, bottles and stuff, not very old, it appeared to be a small dump, not unusual in rural Florida, gonna make this short, I came upon this weird rock, it took me a year or two before I knew it was wood from out west, I have it on a table in the living room, I Also have found arrowheads in a dumpster, fellas wife threw em away after he died, but I was on the trail..These ain’t no made up yarns..and I could embellish em a wee bit, but that’s not my intent..well anyway the moral is, you could pick up a Clovis in a parking lot if you’re lookin for one..I know, I know, Kim says I’m nuts...Lololol. Stay safe Mike

That's a cool but crazy story about that guy's wife throwing those artifacts in a dumpster. Goes to show that people will throw anything away if they don't know about things or just don't care. Glad to hear you were able to rescue them.

This was the one I rescued, I knew for years he had it... Big Blue is 4” and has two small restored areas, don’t get many chances at a blue blade, down...
