I did a different kind of hunt today I went to a lake that had been drained back for the winter & I found some pottery sherds I have been hunting for a long time & this is first time I have ever found any I have found clay trade pipes but my first pottery sherds I also found a piece of hard stone it looks like it was chipped on maybe a crude hand axe or some kind of wood chopping tool I'm going to start checking out these lakes more it was pretty cool hunt!

Nice finds those are some nice pottery sherds what I find is usually half that size. Looks like your in a good spot to find some points

those cobble choppers have been made just like that for millions of years

Lucky dog not having to work. I'll bet you do well looking around those drained lakes.

Interesting finds, congrats.

We have lakes that are drained to where you can find artifacts but its the corps property which is off limits to point hunters. Nice shards and it does look like a chopper of sorts but with a little washing I could see it better.
