Hunted around an old vacant hose today that I could tell wasn't anything special even in its prime. I did manage to pull a couple wheats, an old button, a Ft Worth Zoo souvenir and an old Marinello makeup compact. The usual clad were dug as well. Anyone have an idea to the age of the compact and button? Thanks for looking!

One man's junk is another man's treasure. You saved a few nice relics from that site.

Looks like a decent day to me.. The compact I would guess would be from around the 30's or 40's being made of metal.. That's just my opinion.. Congrats..

That Fort Worth zoo token thingy looks like one of those things you get when you put a penny in one of those novelty penny rollers... except it looks like somebody did it with a silver coin... How did that ring up on your detector? Interesting finds.

It rang up as a clad penny. I'm pretty sure the silver color is the result of its electrolysis bath. It was too crusted to see any detail before. It sure would be a lot cooler if it were a silver coin though:)
