It looks almost Clovis. But no way I'm that lucky.

I'm not familiar at all with your area but my first guess would be union side notch Witch I think... don't quote me.. is transitional Paleo. Check that out and let me know what you think OK?

10/4 it is a rare lithic for my area also. I'll study tonight. Thanks for input

You got it! Nice find!

Is there a chip missing on the right side picture #1 &#3 ? The chipping doesnt looks as if it matches in that area. It is a nice point for sure and I see some more good point back there.

It looks sort of like a spoke shave type notch?? I'll photo that edge for you when I get a second. If chipped, of has worn smooth. It does have a few chips and imperfections. Strange piece for my area!

Savannah river

Or maybe scottsbluff

Savannah river I thought was a stemmed wide point. I could be wrong, that has happened;)

Oops, that is stemmed. Told you! Would it be a big sandy?

Almost looks like a type of guilford also, as narrow as it is . You are from NC , correct? If so, I dug a book up last night with our states points listed. I dug the book up so that I could help identify the points that you had posted to put on display. I'll post the points that I find in the book tonight. How do I reference on this site?

I'm nor sure what it is, but I'm 100% sure what it isn't and it isn't a Clovis, Scottsbluff, or a Big Sandy.

I think it started life as a Guilford. Maybe it was modified at a later date. These things happen. That is some really nice material.
